Black Dog Labs x Anthropic

We’re delighted to announce that Black Dog Labs is now an official Anthropic partner.

Having a strong background in Data Engineering means Anthropic is a natural partner for us. We have been early advocates of AI and data engineering practices, too much work is spent on data organisation and LLMs, RAG and other techniques have involved to remove these headaches.

What this means in practice

We’ve been building production AI systems on Claude for some time — evaluation pipelines, agentic workflows, domain-specific assistants. The partnership formalises that and gives us access to resources that help us do it better.

For clients, this changes very little day-to-day. We’ll still approach every engagement the same way: understand the problem first, build the feedback infrastructure, iterate until the system actually works. What it does mean is that we’re better positioned to navigate the Claude ecosystem — model selection, the API, Claude Code, the agent tooling — and to get answers quickly when something unusual comes up.

Why Anthropic

We’re selective about who we work with. Anthropic’s focus on building AI that is safe and genuinely useful aligns with how we think about this work. Claude is the model we reach for when reliability and reasoning quality matter, which is most of the time.

This is the beginning of something we expect to grow. More to come.
